Why use a certified trainer?

Dog training is an unregulated business! This means anyone can wake up one day and call themselves a dog trainer. To make sure you are employing an educated trainer finding someone certified is key.

Why do you only use reward based positive training?

Positive training is motivating dogs by giving and taking away the things they love. This is the kindest most humane way to train. When punishment is used, especially violent punishment, there are many risks. The main risks are creating fear and damaging the bond between owner and dog. I opt to forgo the techniques for these reasons.

How does billing work?

I ask that packages be paid for upfront. I accept checks, cash and PayPal. Once you have committed to a package your payment is non refundable.

Why do take payment upfront

Aside for protecting my schedule and time, I ask for the payment up front to set you and your dog up for success, Many people see some results and want to stop their program early, Inevitably the behavior reverts because it was not strengthened and ultimately you are left disappointed.

What if I have an emergency?

If an emergency arises and you are unable to complete a program or make and appointment we can discuss case by case situations.
